I have had the water in it since purchasing outside with my ubrella through several rainstorms and wind and my umbrella stays in place!

Light weight to move when no water is inside, and once you fill with water it is heavy to secure your umbrella.

Since you must have a heavy object to secure your patio umbrella, this is a great solution.

It's been working pretty well and is pretty heavy and sturdy.
