Points are sharp. Metal is thick and sturdy. I'm sure they will go into the ground easily.

I used these about 15 nights and found them good for all soil types except sand. They definitely hold the ground tarp & tent in place well.Was able to drive them through the rocks and they did not bend. Pleasantly surprised.

When it was time to leave, I used the claw end of a hammer to remove the stakes and they all came up without a problem without bending, even with substantial lateral pressure.Much better than the plastic ones it came with.

We experienced high winds on our last trip and our tents didn’t budge! For the price these pegs cannot be beat!The plastic cap can be pushed down the nail to avoid, and will set itself into place as you drive all the way to the ground.

I have used these before in many ways when I needed to hold down coverings. They work great with wire ended elastic bunge cords, as well as the cord that is included.
