I'm using these for their intended purpose on a shade tent at craft fairs. They are fantastic! They give the weight you need with a very slim profile and not as much of a tripping hazard. I expected them to be a bit flimsy and made of just canvas but they are a heavy canvas material lined with a rubbery plastic coating. The velcro straps grip very well and the bags almost grip the tent legs. I put garbage bags inside my weights before filling because I wanted to be able to keep my sand dry if it rained. That made it a touch harder to fill them then it might have been without them but... I think it's worth it. It took roughly 3.5 bags of paver sand from home depot to fill all 6. I love the carry handle on them too.
After market replacement cable assembly designed and looks well made. I will make a follow up review after the installation.
After roughing an outdoor craft show and having to literally hold the tent down myself, I knew it was time to get sand bags.
I got these and 2 bags of pea gravel from a home improvement store and had some leftover. I thought sand might be messy if they didn't close all the way, but it wouldn't have been a problem since they close all the way across with velcro.
They kept my tent from blowing away while my neighbors' tents were coming off the ground.
I filled these with a little under two 50lb bags of gravel from my local home improvement store. These worked great on my pop up tent at a Farmer's Market. I feel like they worked better than the water weights people had beside me (which weighed much less). Recommend if you use a pop up tent where you can't stake it (like on blacktop or pavement)
These tent weights saved our beach day! A gust came out of nowhere, but our canopy held firm thanks to these bags. Filling them with sand from the shore was super easy. So glad we had them!
