After having my tent blow across the parking lot twice and several times of not even putting it up because of the wind, these weights are a LIFE SAVER!!!!! It was really windy at our market today and my anxiety level was at a 1 (it's usually around 11 out of 10). My tent didn't move at all. I had several other vendors ask me where I got them. I filled mine with water, but plan on filling it with gravel to bring my anxiety level down to a 0.
We've had the water bag weights before and they get leaks. We also live in an apartment and landscaping has come too close the legs of our gazebo and trashed the bag weights we've used before. These are much sturdier and haven't had any issues with a weed eater tearing holes in them as landscaping passes by. I'd have to reexamine the specs but I don't believe these are as heavy, but they're heavy enough.
Incredible stability from such a simple product. The convenience of being able to fill them on site with water is a huge advantage. They held our tent securely on a breezy lakeside campout.
We do lots of outdoor craft shows and farmers markets and the winds are not always favorable. A friend of ours had purchased these and we ordered them. They are heavy to carry weigh probably around 30 lbs. but when you have 25 plus mph winds to deal with they fit snuggly around each leg of the canopy and nothing is a guarantee to hold your canopy in bug winds but previously wee used concrete pails and sandbags which were a big mess.
The only way to hold down a canopy that is set up on concrete.
Fill with water so when you take them down you pour the water on your plants and store them until next time.
