Setting up a 10x20 canopy alone is already a workout. When my old adjuster started slipping, every setup turned into a two-man wrestling match. The Superior-part-N glides smoothly and locks with authority. I can now adjust leg height with one hand while holding the frame with the other-game changer for solo vendors. The thumb button has a rubberized texture that doesn't shred your finger after 50 adjustments. Installation took two minutes with a hex key. If you're a weekend warrior like me, do yourself a favor and upgrade to this part.
Let me tell you about the time my cheap knockoff adjuster exploded during a windy setup-literally sent plastic shrapnel across the parking lot. Bought the Superior-part-N the next day. The difference is ridiculous. The housing is at least 30% thicker, and the locking mechanism uses a metal pin instead of a plastic nub. Installed on my 10x20 Apex, and the leg now adjusts with a satisfying ratchet sound. Three months later, still tight. Sometimes you have to learn the hard way that "compatible" doesn't mean "equal." This is the real OEM part, period.
I'm that guy who leaves his 10x20 Superior frame assembled in the truck bed all summer. Heat, vibration, dust-it destroys plastic parts. The original height adjuster got so brittle I could snap it with my fingers. The Superior-part-N uses a different grade of plastic-it has a slight flex to it instead of being rigid and brittle. After four months of Arizona summer heat (yes, the truck bed gets to 150F), it still works like day one. The spring hasn't lost tension either. This is the part Eurmax should have used from the beginning. Finally.
The height adjuster on my 10x20 Superior frame snapped right before a weekend event. Panic mode. Found Superior-part-N on Eurmax, overnight shipped it. The moment I installed it, I noticed the design is actually improved over the original-the locking teeth are deeper and the thumb button has better texture. My canopy now stands perfectly level on sloped pavement. Three clicks, rock solid. This little $20 part just saved my entire season. You'd be insane to buy a whole new frame.
I almost threw away my 10x15 Apex frame because the height adjuster stripped out and the leg wouldn't stay up. A buddy said "check Eurmax's website." Sure enough, the Superior-part-N was in stock and shipped fast. The new adjuster has a much wider contact patch where it grips the leg tube, plus the detents are deeper so it can't slip under load. I tested it with 60 lbs of gear hanging from the frame. Didn't budge an inch. For $20, you're a fool to buy a new frame. This part will outlast the canopy fabric.
