We installed a 10' x 10' canopy on our deck in the Sierra foothills where the wind gusts can be pretty strong and these have worked incredibly well to stabilize our structure. We have a composite deck that is 18' above the ground and I didn't want to lag into the deck, so I opted for these sand bags and voila. We'll be putting a larger gazebo on our deck near the pool and will be using these again.
I purchased this for our summer vacation. The wind on the Atlantic in Florida can pick up and we really didn’t want our canopy to fly away or injure someone. These sandbag weights really do a good job. My canopy stayed in place in some pretty high winds.
Amazing quality and great price. The bags are quite big and can take a lot of sand to fill depending on how many you have. They have vinyl inserts to prevent sand from coming out, which is great. They also have a lot of straps and string velcro to keep everything tied and on the ground.
These are OK. Filled 2 with sand and they started leaking pretty quickly. Filled one with cement, and it works pretty well other than I over filled it with cement, and the velcro strap isn't long enough which can be remedied with a bungie or similar.
These are probably better than other options because they are pretty heavy once filled. I recommend cement, but know if you are using your pop up regularly, they will have a life of maybe 1 -2 years!
I plan on filling the others with cement, but just haven't gotten around to it as I'm using other methods to weigh down on two sides! But IMO, these are the still the best option I've seen/used!
Fantastic product. Works and fits my 2.5 nch diameter pillar gazebo.
