I'm not particularly handy, so I was nervous about replacing this myself. Turns out it was as simple as removing two bolts and sliding the old bracket off. The new one went on just as easily. The canopy top sits noticeably straighter nowI hadn't realized how much the cracked bracket was affecting the geometry.
Ordered this after the original bracket bent during a windy teardown. The replacement arrived in two days with standard shipping. I noticed the new bracket has slightly reinforced corners compared to the old onelooks like a subtle design update. Installation was tool-free except for one bolt. The peak no longer groans when the frame flexes.
Good quality bracket overall. The steel is strong and the finish looks like it will hold up. My only issue is that the included instructions (if you can call a single diagram that) were barely helpful. I figured it out by looking at the old part, but a clearer guide would save time for less experienced users.
Bought this as a spare after a friend's peak bracket failed mid-event and ruined his whole setup. The metal is noticeably thicker than the generic hardware store brackets I've seen. Installation took about eight minutes with a single wrench. I keep it in my gear bag now, and it's cheap insurance for a part that clearly takes a lot of stress.
I was about to order a whole new canopy frame when a friend pointed out that Eurmax sells individual brackets. This one arrived well-packaged and felt heavy in the hand. The fit on my 10x10 was exactthe pin engaged the hole with a solid click. I've since recommended this approach to two other vendors who were ready to scrap their frames.
